Photo Of The Day and what could be better than a few Green Berets opening fire in the Jungle (of central North Carolina)? These Special Forces candidates are doing their final stages of something called Robin Sage. It’s a combination of the name of the town of Robbins, N.C., which is a part of the operations and the former Army Colonel Jerry Sage. Mr. Sage was a World War II veteran in unconventional warfare tactics.

Robin Sage is the culmination exercise for Soldiers in the Special Forces Qualification Course and has been the litmus test for Soldiers striving to earn the Green Beret for more than 50 years.
